Ukraine is attempting to subject Hungary to a complete energy blockade by blocking the supply of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline and taking actions against the TurkStream gas pipeline. This was stated by the head of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peter Szijjarto.
"Ukraine wants to subject Hungary to a complete energy blockade. Ukraine wants to make energy supply to Hungary absolutely impossible, which is why the Ukrainians have already blocked oil supplies, and now they want to block gas supplies," he said following a conversation with Russian Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin.
At the same time, Szijjarto emphasized that Budapest intends to protect its energy security and will not allow the cessation of fuel supplies. He also urged Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to stop attacks on energy infrastructure.
