The US plans to seize Iran's oil reserves. The plans to gain control over them were announced by Jared Eigen, the executive director of the National Council for Energy Dominance, in a conversation with Fox News.
"What we want to do is take the huge oil reserves of Iran out of the hands of terrorists," Eigen said.
It was previously reported that US President Donald Trump expressed serious interest in deploying military forces on Iranian territory in private comments. He also suggested cooperation between Washington and the new Iranian government in oil production, similar to what occurs between the United States and Venezuela.
