The U.S. will support Israel until the end in the context of the conflict with Iran. This promise was made by Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz during a phone conversation, reports The Times of Israel.
"We greatly value the unprecedented cooperation between the armed forces of our countries and the capabilities of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) (...). Continue until the end, we are with you," emphasized the American minister.
For his part, Katz noted that Israel "is doing and will continue to do everything possible" to ensure the safety of American troops in the region. Additionally, during the conversation, he thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his support and stated that the cooperation between the White House and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Iran "will change history."
Earlier, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces General Dan Kayne stated that the United States, during the operation, aims to deprive Iran of the ability to quickly restore its military potential.
