About 500 people stormed the US consulate in Karachi in southern Pakistan a few hours after Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a US and Israeli attack, Associated Press reported on March 1, citing police. The agency writes that the action involved Shia Muslims.

Police and military used batons and tear gas to disperse the protesters, said police spokesman Mohammad Javad, as reported by Meduza. According to him, as a result of the clashes, at least one protester was killed and several others were injured. According to Iranian media, 10 protesters were killed.

Israel and the US attacked Iran on February 28. As a result of the Israeli airstrike, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed.
