"He could not escape our intelligence and high-tech surveillance systems. Neither he nor the other leaders who died with him could do anything," the U.S. president wrote on the social network Truth Social.
Trump also urged the Iranian leadership to "unite with the people," threatening them with death otherwise.
"Powerful and precise bombings will continue, without interruption, throughout the week or as long as it takes to achieve our goal of peace throughout the Middle East and the world," concluded the U.S. president.
He called the event "a real opportunity for the Iranian people to take back their country."
According to Trump, many members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, military personnel, and other security and police forces no longer want to fight.
