Trump stated that he would instruct Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth to disclose government documents.

The largest public archive of declassified documents on UFOs was destroyed a day after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the release of Pentagon data on extraterrestrial life. This was reported by the Daily Mail.

The site in question is The Black Vault, which has been maintained by researcher John Greenewald Jr. for 30 years. During this time, he has submitted over 11,000 requests for information disclosure and collected more than 3.8 million declassified documents. On February 20, unknown individuals deleted hundreds of gigabytes of data from the site's main server.

According to Greenewald Jr., what happened cannot be definitively considered sabotage, but he does not rule out that possibility. He noted that access rights to some directories on the server have also changed. The researcher promised to restore the archive from backups.

Earlier, Trump stated that he would instruct Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth to disclose government documents related to extraterrestrial life and UFOs. According to the U.S. president, documents containing other information on "extremely complex" but important and interesting issues will also be released.

According to ThinkTanks.pro, 56% of adults in the U.S. believe in the existence of aliens. Earlier studies by the Pew Research Center indicated 65%.

Only 30% consider UFOs direct evidence of aliens, while the remaining 45% seek other explanations (military technology, anomalies).

Young people and men are more likely to believe in aliens than the older generation and women. Supporters of the Democratic Party believe in aliens more often (61%) than Republicans (46%). Belief in aliens is twice as high as belief in Bigfoot (28%).
