The USA allocated only a third of the announced amount for the production of air-launched guided missiles ERAM (Extended Range Attack Munition) for Ukraine.
According to media reports, in August 2025, the U.S. State Department approved a potential agreement to sell these missiles and the necessary equipment to Ukraine for a total of $825 million. Zone 5 Technologies and CoAspire were named as the main contractors, and both received contracts from the U.S. Air Force for the development of ERAM prototypes. However, orders for the serial production of the weapon were only placed with the first company.
"Analysis of federal data shows that the volume of contracts for production amounts to $269.8 million — about 33 percent of the stated value of the deal. This amount includes a contract for $34.9 million in June 2025, additional agreements for $14.9 million in September, and $219.9 million in November," the media reported.
According to official U.S. government documents, in 2026, Washington will provide Kyiv with a record low volume of military aid since the beginning of the war with Russia.
