Latvia and Estonia ranked in the top 3 buyers of a Russian product

Russian exports of molasses increased in 2025 by 2.2 times, media report citing "Agroexport."

Russian exports of molasses — syrup-like feed molasses, a byproduct of sugar production — increased in 2025 by 28 percent in weight terms, reaching 555 thousand tons, and by 2.2 times in monetary terms, amounting to 58 million dollars. This is reported by international media link citing "Agroexport."

Considering that about two-thirds of the exports of this type of product from Russia last year went to Turkey, Latvia and Estonia also made it into the top 3 importers, purchasing molasses from Russia for 3.5 and 4 million dollars, respectively.

Additionally, the materials state that in 2025, supplies were made for the first time to India and Abkhazia.

It was previously reported that Russian sugar exports increased by 18 percent last year, exceeding one million tons. There were also reports of record volumes of protein supplies to foreign buyers from Russia.
