No one is afraid of Moscow! Russia resembles a pathetic beggar - analyst

"It is strange how people do not see: Russia is literally begging for peace. The whole pathos is 'let us save face,'" shares the analysis of recent events by scientist Sergey Lopatnikov in the community "Antidote_SL" on Telegram.

Professor and senior researcher at the University of Delaware, Sergey Lopatnikov - a former Soviet scientist who lived in Moscow - shared his thoughts on Russia's negotiating position regarding the cessation of the war in Ukraine. Lopatnikov writes:

"It is strange how people do not see: Russia is literally begging for peace. The whole pathos is 'let us save face.' But it seems to me that no one will allow her to do that. Because, objectively, the situation is much worse than it was during the Crimean War and during the Japanese War.

The difference is not even that Russia has shrunk like a shrunken skin. The main thing, it seems, is that Russia has been excluded from the balance of power in the world and even in Europe alone.

And there are reasons for this. Three days - not three days... (...). It is not accidental that the supplies of weapons to Ukraine and even its verbal support have been increasing step by step: Europe simply could not, it seems, believe immediately that Russia is as weak as it has shown. In 2022, it was hated, but feared. Today, it is obvious that the fear has been lost.

And the situation with negotiations with the USA is utterly pathetic, no matter how much one tries to puff up. They are going in such a strange mode that it would even be strange to be surprised.

I feel something is happening.

P.S. Yes, I forgot to mention another reason why Europe is not afraid of nuclear weapons - and the most likely one, by the way. Just thinking about it is somehow... In short - a deal. Just as the USSR was systematically and intentionally dismantled, which I have no doubt about, knowing the attitude of many - attention! - consistent! Marxists (!) - towards the problem of colonies, the 'prison of nations,' etc., it is quite likely - as I have written - that Russia is being consciously and purposefully led to destruction on the principle of 'it will be better for everyone.'

P.P.S. I read from Syomin: "Uralmashzavod" (this is the largest Russian enterprise located in Yekaterinburg - editor's note) is going under the knife. And that's true: what does the country need it for when (the fast food chain - editor's note) 'Rostiks' exists?"
