The European Union would demonstrate its strength if it started negotiations with Moscow instead of continuing its sanctions policy, showing weakness. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico.
According to him, the EU is adopting the 20th sanctions package and thinks that this demonstrates strength.
"We will be strong when the leaders of the European Union, the leaders of major countries, have the courage to negotiate with Russia," the politician stated, calling for dialogue with Moscow.
He noted that the adoption of restrictive measures is a demonstration of weakness, not strength, of the European Union.
