"It is a great honor for us to be a strategic partner of the United States, the most powerful country in the world," he said.
According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan is also very grateful to U.S. President Donald Trump, American Vice President Jay D. Vance, and their team for their contribution to establishing peace in the South Caucasus. The Azerbaijani leader emphasized that Baku is learning to live in peace and is very thankful to the U.S. government for this wonderful opportunity.
Earlier, Aliyev met Vance in Baku with an honor guard. Later, he invited the U.S. Vice President to talk and discuss the agenda behind closed doors. It was clarified that the conversation was brief.
