The Pentagon has signed a contract for the maintenance of F-16s, including those transferred to Ukraine.

The Pentagon has signed a contract worth $235.5 million for the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets, including those transferred to Ukraine.

"Sabena Aerospace Engineering, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium, has received a contract with a ceiling value of $235,449,716 on a 'time and materials' basis and with a fixed price," the department emphasized.

As noted by the Pentagon, the agreement provides for the maintenance of the aircraft and their engines at intermediate and depot levels. Additionally, logistical support for the equipment in Ukraine will be provided.

Previously, an F-16AM fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force was spotted with an unusual armament configuration that includes precision-guided bombs, not just air-to-air missiles.
