The entire negotiation team from Ukraine will travel to the United Arab Emirates for a tripartite meeting with Russia and the USA. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with journalists in Davos.
"The military must be present. This will be a tripartite meeting at the negotiators' level. We will see what the outcome will be. They will work for two days," Zelensky said.
He added that he does not yet know what to expect from this meeting. At the same time, he noted that Ukraine will see whether Russia is ready to discuss various points of the peace plan.
"Then I will receive information from them; they will tell me what the mood is at the negotiations, whether they found any points of contact. I think we are at the moment where if all sides work hard, we will end this war. But if someone plays games, the war will continue," Zelensky added.

"Not everyone has a dialogue. He has it at one level. I think the USA is significantly stronger than Russia. And you can see from the example of this war that the USA is stronger than Russia. That is why I think he can do this. Perhaps they want to find compromises. We are open to various steps. But I say that these must be compromises from both sides. The Russians did not win this war, and they will not," Zelensky said.
At the same time, the president stated that he is not sure whether Putin really wants to end the war on the terms he is currently in. In particular, with the losses and without achieving the goals he set at the beginning of the war.
"But their economy is indeed tired. Their army is very tired. Our army is also tired, but we are honest; we talk about it. We are doing everything we can with our army. And they are doing everything they can. But 35,000 dead Russian soldiers a month. And this number will grow. These are significant losses; it is their business to end the war or not," Zelensky added.
