Secretary Falan called for the US Navy to fight right now. "We need to behave as if we are playing football against teams from Miami or Indiana every weekend," said the US Secretary of the Navy.
The United States Navy (USN) needs to act and take risks now as if the United States is already at war, said Secretary John F. Falan. This was reported by Defense News.
According to the official, the Navy must prioritize speed and readiness to take risks, which will allow the US to remain prepared for international armed conflict.
Falan noted some "foolish" practices he observed at American shipyards, particularly restrooms and storage facilities located just meters away from welders, and poor parking for those trying to access workers' offices. The minister was also shocked by a visit to one of the American missile facilities covering more than 23,000 square meters, where only 18 people were working in the morning.
"We need to behave as if we are playing football against teams from Miami or Indiana every weekend," said the US Secretary of the Navy.
He stated that conflicts could flare up at any moment, so the expression "I would like to" in this context indicates a very poor attitude towards the existing reality.
In December, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources, that the candidate for the position of Secretary of the Navy, businessman John F. Falan, nominated by elected President Donald Trump, raises concerns among the military.
