Falan noted some "foolish" practices he observed at American shipyards, particularly restrooms and storage facilities located just meters away from welders, and poor parking for those trying to access workers' offices. The minister was also shocked by a visit to one of the American missile facilities covering more than 23,000 square meters, where only 18 people were working in the morning.
