The White House: Iran is sending completely different signals to the U.S. privately than publicly.

Iranian authorities are sending completely different signals to the administration of President Donald Trump in private than they are publicly. The White House press secretary, Caroline Levitt, accused the Iranian leadership of hypocrisy.

"What you hear from the Iranian regime publicly is very different from the signals received privately. I think the president [Trump] has an interest in considering these signals," she said.

According to her, Trump "is not afraid" to use force against Iran if he deems it necessary. Levitt emphasized that Tehran "knows this better than anyone else."

Previously, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf threatened Trump with a "memorable lesson." "I heard that you threatened Iran. Come, see how all your potential in the Middle East will be destroyed," the politician addressed him.
