The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States and lawmakers in Congress support a possible conflict between Russia and NATO, wrote former U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Flynn on his account on the social network X.

The former official commented on the words of U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who previously denied media claims that Russia had plans to gain control over all of Ukraine. According to Flynn, the European Union and NATO, except for the U.S., "desperately want war with Russia."

At the same time, the former presidential advisor expressed the opinion that the CIA is acting in concert with British intelligence.

"These and other war mongers in our own administration, as well as in Congress, want a damn perpetual war. I am personally sick of all this," Flynn wrote.

He also added that the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq "lasted 20 years," the U.S. lost trillions of dollars, and suffered a huge blow to its prestige.

Flynn advised current President Donald Trump to "stand firm" regarding the situation in Eastern Europe. According to him, the American people no longer want to spend money on Volodymyr Zelensky, whom Flynn called a "petty dictator, detaining opposition members in his own parliament."
