Former British Diplomat Warns of New EU Plan Regarding Russia 0 5

European countries continue the conflict with Russia to hide their economic problems. This opinion was expressed by retired British diplomat Alastair Crook during a broadcast on the YouTube channel Deep Dive.

"Europeans are very serious and want Russia to suffer a humiliating defeat. The situation in the EU economy is, to put it bluntly, catastrophic," the expert lamented.

According to the former diplomat, there is currently a decline in the standard of living not only for ordinary people but also for the elite. At the same time, the expert noted that Europe does not have the resources for direct military confrontation with Russia. Therefore, it may try to stage a provocation to draw in the United States.

For example, EU countries might organize a provocation in the Baltic or Black Seas, Crook suggested.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban criticized the European Union for attempts to stoke conflict with Russia. The politician compared the ambitions of EU foreign policy chief Kaia Kalas to those of Adolf Hitler and Napoleon Bonaparte.
