The plane of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan could not land in Moscow as the airports in the Russian capital were closed due to a drone attack, local media report, LETA writes citing UNN.
Pashinyan's plane circled over the Tver region for almost an hour waiting for permission to land, but did not receive it.
As a result, the aircraft headed to St. Petersburg and landed at Pulkovo Airport around 1 a.m.
Pashinyan was heading to Moscow to participate in a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union.
