His conclusion regarding the situation in the country is preceded by reflections on the competition in the field of artificial intelligence between China and the USA.
The businessman believes that Americans are leading in advanced models and technologies, but in open models, the Chinese have gone far ahead, as they occupy the main market share. Moreover, the PRC has manufacturing power and produces more electricity, which allows for the acceleration of the necessary infrastructure construction.
Earlier, Deripaska refuted the opinion about the growing security threat when implementing artificial intelligence systems in governance, including state governance in Russia. He explained that the country lacks electricity to bring digitalization to a level where its use could become dangerous.
