According to the military, the enemy is trying to use the reduced visibility to build up forces, create cover in the buildings, and prepare conditions for further offensive actions. Additionally, under unfavorable weather conditions, the enemy has the opportunity to bring more personnel into the city.
Earlier, Ukrainian military expert Ivan Timochko assessed what the Russians are currently realistically capable of in the Pokrovsk direction. According to him, enemy small infantry groups are currently infiltrating the city, but this is not systematic; "it is very localized, very tactical, and very fragmented."
Analysts from DeepState recently reported that Russian propagandists are already filming reports from the center of Pokrovsk. They noted that in the circulated videos, "locals thank the occupiers for bringing destruction and allowing them to die from shelling while being buried right next to their apartment."
