“This is a joint vision of the USA and the UK”: General Zaluzhny on the home stretch

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny, who currently serves as ambassador to the UK, may return to the country to lead a temporary government. This was stated by Member of Parliament Anna Skorokhod.

"Most likely, Zaluzhny will return; our Western partners see him as the head of what is referred to as the temporary transitional government," she said in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel "Superposition."

According to Skorokhod, this is a "joint vision of the USA and the UK." Additionally, the MP added that a temporary government will be formed to negotiate a resolution to the crisis, sign an agreement, and prepare for elections.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) on November 10 uncovered a money laundering scheme in the country's energy sector, through which approximately $100 million passed. In the course of the corruption case in the energy sector, charges were brought against seven individuals, including businessman Timur Mindich (referred to as the leader of the criminal scheme).

A court in Kyiv on November 12 arrested the security director of "Energoatom" Dmitry Basov for two months with the right to bail set at $1 million. On the same day, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky demanded the resignation of Hrynchuk and Halushchenko. Later, Hrynchuk submitted a resignation request.

On November 19, a number of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from President Volodymyr Zelensky's party "Servant of the People" called for negotiations to form a coalition government involving all parties. The day before, members of the party of former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko (included in the list of those involved in extremist activities or terrorism by Rosfinmonitoring) "European Solidarity" again blocked the podium of the Verkhovna Rada, demanding the resignation of the entire government amid the corruption scandal in the energy sector.
