Poland Opened Two Border Crossing Points with Belarus

For several years, there was only one operational road border crossing between Belarus and Poland that allowed passenger transport: "Brest" — "Terespole". Other points were closed by the Polish side at different times. And now, the situation has changed overnight.

Tonight, from 02:00 Minsk time, the Polish side resumed traffic at two international road border crossing points after reconstruction and completion of engineering works.

The border crossing "Bobrowniki" (the corresponding Belarusian side is "Berestovitsa") was closed by Polish authorities on February 10, 2023, while "Kuznica Bialostocka" ("Brusgi") had not been operational for more than 4 years.

Through "Berestovitsa" ("Bobrowniki"), passenger cars, buses, and freight vehicles from European Union countries, countries participating in the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and Switzerland will be able to cross the border. At the "Brusgi" ("Kuznica Bialostocka") border crossing, only passenger cars are allowed.

The capacity of the "Berestovitsa" border crossing is 900 passenger cars and 500 freight vehicles per day in one direction, while "Brusgi" can accommodate 1,600 passenger cars and 580 trucks daily.
