The Turkish Ministry of Defense reported the crash of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules military transport plane in Georgia. This was announced by the press service of the Turkish military department.
"A military transport plane C-130 of our Air Force returning to Turkey from Azerbaijan crashed in Georgia," the statement said. A search and rescue operation has begun. Ankara is coordinating actions with the Georgian authorities.
According to media reports, Turkish military personnel who participated in the parade in Baku may have been on board.
C-130 Hercules is an American military transport aircraft of medium and large range. It is the primary military transport aircraft of the United States, NATO countries, and several other nations.
