Stoltenberg spoke about the chance of starting World War III due to Ukraine 0 8

Former NATO Secretary General, Norway's Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg stated in an interview with the British newspaper The Sunday Times that the North Atlantic Alliance will not start World War III with Russia over Ukraine.

According to him, when Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky asked him to close Ukrainian airspace in 2022, he refused due to the risk of escalating the conflict into war.

"As Biden said, who was the President of the United States at the time, we will not take the risk of World War III for Ukraine," he noted.

Stoltenberg emphasized that he still believes the approach of "not getting directly involved in a military conflict with Russia" is the right one.

Earlier, former Russian Prime Minister Sergey Stepashin stated that World War III has already begun. According to him, a global conflict is already underway, just in a "hybrid form" for now.
