US President Donald Trump made a significant statement after meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, noting that it "will lead to eternal peace."
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump also called the meeting "wonderful for both sides."
"My G2 meeting with President Xi Jinping of China was wonderful for both of our countries. It will lead to eternal peace and success. God bless both China and the USA," wrote the American president.
The term "G2" that Trump used refers to a format of close partnership between the USA and China. This term was proposed by American economists back in 2005 to describe potential cooperation between the two leading economies in the world.
