In Poland, Calls Were Made to Send Ukrainian Men to War

Former Prime Minister of Poland Leszek Miller said that young men from Ukraine should be sent home to fight against the Russian Federation. Foreign policy expert Lukasz Adamski stated on the "Ranok.LIVE" broadcast that this is unlikely and that the ex-official's statement should not be taken as Warsaw's official position.

"Right now, Leszek Miller is at the absolute margins of Polish political life. I do not want Ukrainian society to perceive various statements by Leszek Miller," said the expert.

He suggested that the former Prime Minister of Poland is simply trying to remind people of his existence or is blackmailing someone. At the same time, Adamski believes that the words of the ex-official should not be taken as an official position.

"From a legal standpoint, there is currently no possibility, at least for now, for men from Ukraine who have received temporary protection in the EU to be sent back to Ukraine for military service. I do not rule out that this could happen, but, firstly, it would be a decision of the entire EU, and I think the likelihood is very small," said the specialist.

Miller's Statement on Ukrainians

Let us remind you that former Prime Minister of Poland Leszek Miller stated that his country has one "weapon" it can give to Ukraine - young Ukrainians of conscription age. According to him, there are millions of such citizens outside of Ukraine, and he finds it "strange that millions of young men" left Ukraine and have no desire to fight for their country.

Among them, Miller said, there are many individuals who are not illegal immigrants but simply did not return home, particularly from work abroad. They are by no means in Ukraine and did not go to the front.
