Trump Demands Major Compromise from Zelensky 'for the Sake of Peace' 0 131

U.S. President Donald Trump demanded that his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky make territorial concessions for peace with Russia. This was reported by The New York Times (NYT), citing a senior European official.

"Trump (...) urged Zelensky to hand over territories (...) to end the bloodshed," the publication states.

The NYT source noted that Zelensky allegedly responded with a refusal to Trump's demand.

Earlier, Zelensky indicated a willingness to compromise regarding the territories lost by Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian leader, "this will be the only way" to resolve the conflict with Russia.
