Trump Surprised After Meeting Between Putin and His Special Envoy 0 19

American leader Donald Trump was surprised by the duration of the conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff during his visit to Moscow. He mentioned this during his speech in the Knesset, the broadcast of which is available on the White House website.

When sending Witkoff to Moscow, Trump thought the conversation with the Russian leader would last 15-20 minutes. He recounted that he called his special envoy an hour after the meeting started, then again after three and four hours. During all this time, Witkoff was talking with Putin.

"His meeting with Putin lasted 5 hours. I asked, 'What the hell did you discuss for a whole 5 hours?' He replied that they talked about interesting things... But that's a talent," said the head of the White House.
