Trump: The U.S. decisively won in World War I and World War II.
U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking at the Israeli Knesset, reiterated that the United States won World War I and World War II. His speech is being broadcast by the White House.
"As you know, we decisively won World War I. We decisively won World War II... And everything that was between them and before them, we won it all," the American leader said.
The head of the White House also noted that at some point the country lost its resolve in military policy. "And then someone had the brilliant idea to change the word 'war' to 'defense,' and along with that, the mindset changed: we started to fight too politically correctly," he added.
Thus, Trump commented on his decision to rename the U.S. Department of Defense to the Department of War. "This is something we have discussed for a long time. It is a much more appropriate name. It sends a signal of victory and strength," he wrote.
