The Ukrainian air defense demonstrates about 74% effectiveness; however, additional efforts are needed to protect energy, critical infrastructure, and logistics, stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, LETA reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.
"We face new challenges ahead. Over the past month, the enemy has increased the number of air attack means by 1.3 times. And, although our air defense demonstrates about 74% effectiveness, we need to make additional efforts to protect the rear energy sector, critical infrastructure, and logistics," Syrsky reported.
"The enemy pays dearly for continuing its aggressive war against Ukraine. Last month, the number of strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation increased to 70. In particular, oil processing in Russia decreased by 21%," he noted.
"We are intensifying the creation of a new type of troops - unmanned air defense systems as part of the Air Forces. We are improving the strike force system. We are establishing a cyber command," Syrsky stated following a working meeting.
According to him, in September, Russia's losses amounted to 28,500 servicemen.
