The Pentagon has released images of F-35s in Puerto Rico opposite Venezuela.

The Pentagon has released images of the fifth-generation F-35B fighters of the US Marine Corps at a base in Puerto Rico, from where the planes can launch bombings against Venezuela located across the water. This was reported by the publication TWZ.

"F-35s could be used to strike directly at cartel bases on land," the publication states, asserting that these aircraft are capable of penetrating airspace while remaining undetected by enemy air defense systems.

The publication noted that the support ship Ocean Trader, spotted in the region of potential conflict, could be useful in case of unforeseen circumstances.

In September, the publication Army Recognition observed that the Venezuelan army began deploying Russian-made Buk-M2E surface-to-air missile systems in Caracas and its surroundings to protect the country's territory from a possible US attack.

Also in September, Brandon Weichert, a columnist for the American magazine The National Interest, stated that Russia's deployment of nuclear weapons in Venezuela would provoke Caribbean Crisis II.
