Сильное потоотделение не всегда связано с жарой.

Severe sweating is not always related to heat or individual body characteristics. Doctors warn that sometimes this symptom can indicate serious health problems — from hormonal disorders to diabetes, leukemia, and heart attacks.

What Diseases May Be Accompanied by Sweating

In some cases, increased sweating manifests in adolescence as a hereditary trait. However, if such a feature arises without obvious reasons, it is worth paying attention to other possible symptoms. For instance, sweating often accompanies diabetes, especially with elevated blood sugar levels. Additional signs of this disease include excessive thirst, frequent urges to urinate, constant hunger, skin itching, and fluctuations in weight either upwards or downwards. If such symptoms are detected in conjunction with excessive sweating, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Hormonal, Neurological, and Oncological Causes

Another possibility is hyperthyroidism — a condition associated with excessive activity of the thyroid gland. Characteristic manifestations, in addition to sweating, include trembling hands, rapid weight loss despite a good appetite, arrhythmia, insomnia, and emotional instability.

Sweating can also be a consequence of neurological disorders, such as epilepsy. In some cases, it is observed in oncological diseases, particularly leukemia.

In leukemia, intense night sweats occur, unexplained bruises appear on the body, weakness arises, and weight decreases.

Additionally, sudden severe sweating can be a sign of an acute heart attack. In a heart attack, it is usually not related to physical exertion or environmental temperature. Additional symptoms of a heart attack include dizziness, chest pain radiating to the left arm or other parts of the left side of the body, feelings of fear, and weakness in the legs.

Experts advise not to ignore sudden or unusually strong sweating, especially if it is accompanied by weakness, weight loss, chest pain, or other alarming symptoms, writes bb.lv. In such cases, it is important to promptly consult a doctor and undergo an examination.
