A great alternative to fatty flatbreads — it is made from Greek yogurt and regular wheat flour. To prevent the pita from being bland, you can add a little salt. Wrap chicken, fish, other savory ingredients in it, or serve with banana, cottage cheese, and various toppings. One such flatbread contains 12 g of protein and only 2 g of fat.
Ingredients
-
Greek yogurt - 140 g
-
Wheat flour - 140 g
-
Salt - 2 pinches
Preparation
-
Combine the yogurt, flour, and salt in a bowl. Knead the dough with a fork, then with your hands.
-
Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
-
Divide into two parts and roll out two flatbreads from the dough.
-
Fry in a preheated dry skillet for about 2–3 minutes on each side.
-
During frying, the flatbread will puff up, creating a pocket inside — and the flatbread turns into pita.
