The Secrets of Yulia Tymoshenko's Family: Husband, Children, and Life Abroad

Yulia Tymoshenko remains one of the most well-known figures in modern Ukrainian politics. For decades, she has been in the spotlight. However, behind the politician's public activities lies a personal story — a family that has long been her main support circle.

We tell what is known about Yulia Tymoshenko's husband, the fate of her daughter, and the life of the political family today.

A Marriage That Lasts for Decades

Yulia Tymoshenko has been with her husband Alexander Tymoshenko for over forty years. He prefers to stay out of the public eye and rarely appears in the media.

Alexander Tymoshenko was born in 1960 in Dnipro. He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk National University named after Oles Honchar. Their acquaintance with Yulia began during their student years.

The romance started during a summer internship at a children's camp where they both worked. By September 1979, the couple officially registered their marriage.

Later, Alexander became involved in business. In 1997, he headed the corporation "Unified Energy Systems of Ukraine." The company ceased operations in 2009 by court decision.

In 2012, Alexander Tymoshenko received political asylum in the Czech Republic amid the criminal prosecution of his wife during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. In Prague, he participated in rallies supporting Euromaidan and headed the international public association "Batkivshchyna." After the change of power in Ukraine, he returned to his homeland.

Yulia Tymoshenko's Daughter and Her Personal Life

Yulia and Alexander Tymoshenko have one daughter — Yevheniya. She is currently in her second marriage and raises three children.

Yevheniya's first husband was British musician Sean Carr, co-founder of the band Paris In The Fall. They met while vacationing in Egypt in the early 2000s. Their relationship developed rapidly, and soon the musician moved to Ukraine.

In 2005, Sean Carr formed the rock band Death Valley Screamers, which mainly performed at biker festivals and publicly supported Yulia Tymoshenko's political force.

Yevheniya and the musician's marriage lasted seven years and ended in divorce in 2012. Among the possible reasons cited was Yevheniya's active participation in the campaign to free her mother from imprisonment.

Second Marriage and Family Life

Later, Yevheniya Tymoshenko married entrepreneur Arthur Chechetkin. They met in 2010 at a club in Odessa.

In 2019, the couple officially registered their relationship and held a large celebration at the NSC "Olympiyskiy," inviting about 200 guests. According to media reports, singer Tina Karol performed at the event.

Arthur Chechetkin was born in 1982 in Odessa and lived in the United States for a long time. He is involved in the real estate business. According to open sources, several apartments in New York are registered in his name.

Today, Yevheniya and Arthur are raising three children — Eva, David, and Adam.

Where the Family Lives Today

In recent years, the Tymoshenko family has periodically appeared in different countries. According to open sources, Yevheniya and her family lived in Dubai for some time.

In 2022, Yulia Tymoshenko was spotted in Vienna with her son-in-law, and in 2024, there were reports of the politician vacationing in Italy with her daughter and grandchildren. It was reported that the rental of villas for the family could cost around 80,000 euros.
