How to Prepare Chinese-Style Cucumbers
-
Place the cucumber between two chopsticks and cut the cucumber at a right angle into thin rings of 2-3 mm, the knife will touch the chopsticks and will not cut the cucumber completely.
-
Then turn the cucumber with the uncut side facing up, place the chopsticks on both sides, and cut the cucumber at an angle of about 30° also into 2-3 mm slices along its entire length. You will get a spiral of cucumber.
-
Mince the garlic and chili pepper. Prepare the marinade for the cucumber: mix garlic, sugar, chili pepper, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and sesame oil, and mix everything well.
-
Place the sliced cucumbers on a plate and drizzle them with the marinade. Sprinkle with chili pepper and sesame seeds on top. The Chinese-style cucumbers are ready.
