In winter, the female body is subjected to stress due to cold and high humidity, which increases the risk of exacerbation of chronic diseases and the emergence of new ones.

Salpingitis and Salpingoophoritis
The most common winter diseases in women are salpingitis (inflammation of the fallopian tubes) and salpingoophoritis (inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries). The main cause of their occurrence is a decrease in immunity, exacerbated by hypothermia and severe cases of ARVI. Infections also play a role, but in most cases, the body is capable of coping with them on its own.
The consequences of these diseases can be serious: adhesive diseases, chronic inflammatory processes, infertility, and obstruction of the fallopian tubes.
How to Reduce the Risk
To protect health, the doctor recommends:
- regularly visiting a gynecologist;
- not sitting on cold surfaces;
- not wearing only nylon tights in winter;
- keeping the body warm;
- supporting the immune system.
Additionally, it is important for a woman and her partner to regularly get tested for sexually transmitted infections, as timely detection and treatment prevent many complications.
