Actor Vladimir Dovzhik has passed away. He was only 57 years old. The cause of death was revealed by his friend.
Vladimir Dovzhik, who played the role of neurosurgeon Yuri Sheynman in the series 'Sklifosovsky', passed away on February 24 at the age of 57. Colleagues reported the tragedy.
"We received the sad news: at the age of 58, we lost a great friend of our Theater, a wonderful actor Vladimir Davidovich Dovzhik. In 1998, he joined the troupe of the 'Man' theater, performing as an actor and director in the plays 'Adventures of the Hippo Bantik' and 'About Masha', as well as playing one of the main roles in the play 'Art'.
A versatile, intelligent, subtle actor and talented director, Vladimir Dovzhik made a significant contribution to the development of our Theater. The 'Man' theater mourns together with the family and friends, colleagues, and numerous fans of Vladimir Davidovich. Eternal memory!" they conveyed.
"He had been under the supervision of doctors in intensive care for the last week, but unfortunately, there are times when doctors are powerless to do anything. The cause of death was a stroke," shared a friend of the actor.
Dovzhik is known for many hit projects. He can be seen in 'Brigada', where he played the lawyer Sasha Bely. Vladimir also starred in the series 'Interns', 'Sklifosovsky', 'Comrades Police Officers', the film 'The End of a Beautiful Era', and others. The last film featuring Dovzhik was the detective 'American', which will be released this year. Vladimir mostly had small supporting roles.
Fans of the actor express their condolences: "I remember him from his episodic role in 'Interns' (when he persuaded Kupitman to work in Ryazan). I thought he was older (he looked that way in 'Sklifosovsky'), but in fact, he wasn't even 60," "57 years is not an age to die. No matter how small the role, I always paid attention to Vladimir Dovzhik," "So sad! A talented and memorable actor. Eternal memory and may he rest in peace."
