Many people think that the order of cleaning is not important, but in fact, it directly affects the cleanliness and freshness of the home. If you start with the floor, most of the dust will end up back on the furniture and interior items. To break this vicious cycle, it is important to know what to do and when.
Household dust consists of skin particles, fabric fibers, fine outdoor dirt, pet hair, plant spores, and insect remnants. It constantly moves around the apartment — just walking by, opening a window, or starting to clean can stir it up.
Correct order of cleaning
Cleaning should be done from top to bottom. First, wipe down cabinets, shelves, and tables, and then the floor. It is helpful to take a 10–15 minute break between the penultimate and final stages to allow fine particles to settle.
Exception: If there is a lot of pet hair in the house, vacuum first to collect the bulk of the debris, and then dust. At the end of the cleaning, vacuum again for a final clean.
For floor cleaning, it is recommended to use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter. It effectively traps the smallest particles and prevents them from rising back into the air. Always clean the dust container and nozzle after use — this will make the device work more efficiently for the next cleaning.
By following these simple rules, you can reduce the amount of dust in the house and make cleaning truly effective.
