So, let’s learn to charm in the spirit of the Italians.

How to Cook Chicken According to the Italian Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 skinless chicken breasts;

  • 6 tablespoons of flour;

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil;

  • 150 g (1 cup) sun-dried tomatoes;

  • 150 ml (0.75 cup) heavy cream;

  • 200 ml (0.75 cup) chicken broth;

  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese;

  • 2 teaspoons paprika;

  • 3 cloves of garlic;

  • salt, lemon juice, black pepper, basil, and oregano to taste.

How to Prepare

  • Spread the flour on a flat surface and coat the chicken breasts in it.

  • Then heat the oil in a skillet and carefully place the chicken to brown on each side.

  • After that, reduce the heat and add three cloves of garlic, one cup of sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and paprika to the skillet.

  • Stir for 3-5 minutes until the garlic becomes soft.

  • Add the cream, broth, Parmesan, salt, and pepper and mix well. For convenience, you can remove the chicken for a couple of minutes.

  • Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for another five minutes.

  • Flip the chicken and cook until done.

  • When the chicken is fully cooked, remove the skillet from the heat, sprinkle with basil, and drizzle with lemon juice.

  • The dish can be served with any side. This chicken pairs excellently with pasta, buckwheat, rice, or mashed potatoes.

By the way, heavy cream can be replaced with Greek yogurt — this will make the dish less caloric. Instead of chicken broth, some cooks use plain water. It turns out just as tasty and saves time.
