Sufficient water intake every day reduces the risk of stroke by 25 percent. As reported by JSCD, this conclusion was made by researchers from China.
A large-scale study was based on data from 49,000 people. Researchers excluded the influence of age, gender, and calorie intake, focusing on the volume of liquid consumed.
The results showed that participants who regularly drank sufficient amounts of water had a 25 percent lower risk of developing a stroke compared to those who neglected to maintain proper hydration.
Additionally, it was found that men and women consuming less than 1.4 liters of liquid per day had an increased likelihood of acute cerebrovascular accident. The study confirmed the view that water is essential for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
