No holiday is complete without alcoholic beverages, and New Year's is no exception. However, too much food and alcohol can put an excessive strain on the liver. Therefore, doctors have established acceptable limits for strong drinks to celebrate the New Year that will not harm health.
How much alcohol can be consumed on New Year's Eve: advice Doctors recommend setting the following limits for alcohol consumption on New Year's Eve.
Strong alcoholic beverages (vodka, whiskey, rum, tequila, etc.) – no more than 150 grams. Champagne and various wines – 200 grams.
The World Health Organization recommends a weekly alcohol limit that will not harm health:

no more than 150 grams of strong drinks (vodka, cognac, whiskey, rum, etc.);

no more than 200 grams of dry or semi-dry wine or champagne;

no more than 1 liter of beer.
Doctors urge to remember the double load on the liver on New Year's Eve, as fatty or spicy foods negatively affect it just as much as alcohol does.
