Santa Claus Residence to Open at the Engineering Arsenal in Daugavpils 0 4

The Santa Claus residence will be open to visitors on December 13 starting at 12:00. Visitors will also be able to try warm snacks and drinks in the courtyard of the center. At 14:00 and 15:00, young visitors will have the opportunity to make Christmas decorations and toys by hand in themed workshops.

At 15:30, Santa Claus will arrive at the residence, and at 16:00, together with him, the Christmas tree will be lit in the courtyard of the Engineering Arsenal. Later, at 16:30, everyone will be able to visit Santa Claus's house, and at 18:00, there will be a farewell evening, as Santa Claus will set off on his journey.

Santa Claus will also come to his residence on December 20 and 27 from 12:00 to 17:00, when children will once again have the chance to participate in creative workshops, meet Santa, chat with him, and send their letters to the Christmas mail.

The Santa residence in the courtyard of the Engineering Arsenal will be open to visitors starting December 13, during the center's operating hours from 12:00 to 19:00. The center and its courtyard will be closed from December 29 to January 1, but if weather conditions are favorable, the residence will be accessible in early January.

The Daugavpils Center for Technology and Industrial Design, the Engineering Arsenal, is a technical, design, and cultural platform located in the historic Daugavpils Fortress, which houses the largest exhibition of retro technologies and industrial design in Latgale.

The center was built between 1840 and 1845 and is the last of several major buildings designed by architect Alexander Staubert in the Daugavpils Fortress.
