The concert version of the Oscar-winning film 'Straume' continues to amaze audiences around the world. Recently, another sold-out concert took place in San Diego (USA), showcasing the international scale and growing popularity of this musical event. Upcoming concerts are expected in Taiwan, Riga, and the USA.
More than 5,000 spectators attended the concerts in San Diego and Seattle.
"I am very pleased that the Straume concerts are attracting more and more people. I especially want to highlight the concert in San Diego, which just took place to a full house. I am very happy about the audience's enthusiasm and the new experiences that such a concert brings even to those who have seen this film several times," says the author of the music and composer of the film, Rihards Zalūpe.
This inspiring concert tour will continue on March 14 and 15 in Taiwan, where the concert version will be performed by the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, with the film's composer Rihards Zalūpe conducting.
This will be a unique opportunity for the Asian audience to experience the emotional and cinematically expansive sound world of 'Straume' under the direction of the composer.
The Latvian audience will have the chance to conclude this vibrant season with 'Straume in Concert' on May 23, 2026, in Riga, together with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.
The concert promises to be not only a musical event but also a special moment of return to the Latvian audience, who have supported the story and music of 'Straume' since its inception.
