Next week, on November 28, the Christmas market will open in Riga at Dome Square. It will operate until January 4 of the following year.
At the market, visitors will be able to purchase products from Latvian manufacturers and artisans, as well as try various dishes and drinks from more than 80 vendors.
The official opening of the Christmas market in Old Riga is scheduled for November 30 at 5:00 PM.
In the stalls of artisans and home producers, visitors can buy wooden products and toys, knitted items, amber and silver jewelry, games, leather goods, candles, sheep wool products, as well as various dishes and drinks – honey, gingerbread, hemp and meat products, jams, sauces, syrups, hot and cold beverages.
The market will feature entertainment for children – on weekends and holidays, there will be opportunities to meet Santa Claus and elves, ride on a carousel and ponies, see sheep, and participate in creative workshops.
An extensive cultural program is planned for the weekends – from folklore to dance evenings accompanied by DJs.
