Pumpkin season is a great time to try new recipes. This fragrant bread with pumpkin puree and cream cheese will be a highlight of your table and bring cozy autumn aromas.
Ingredients
For the dough:
- Pumpkin puree — 1 cup
- Egg — 1 pc.
- Light brown sugar — 150 g
- Butter — 50 g
- Sour cream — 60 g
- Vanilla extract — 1 tsp.
- Flour — 150 g
- Baking powder — ½ tsp.
- Baking soda — ½ tsp.
- Salt — ¼ tsp.
For the creamy filling:
- Egg — 1 pc.
- Cream cheese — 100 g
- Sugar — 50 g
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf pan with butter. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, egg, brown sugar, butter, sour cream, and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine the dry ingredients with the pumpkin mixture.
- Pour two-thirds of the batter into the pan.
- Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and egg for the filling. Spread the mixture over the batter and gently distribute it.
- Spread the remaining batter on top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out almost dry.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing it.
