Autumn Dessert: Pumpkin Bread with Creamy Filling

Pumpkin season is a great time to try new recipes. This fragrant bread with pumpkin puree and cream cheese will be a highlight of your table and bring cozy autumn aromas.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Pumpkin puree — 1 cup
  • Egg — 1 pc.
  • Light brown sugar — 150 g
  • Butter — 50 g
  • Sour cream — 60 g
  • Vanilla extract — 1 tsp.
  • Flour — 150 g
  • Baking powder — ½ tsp.
  • Baking soda — ½ tsp.
  • Salt — ¼ tsp.

For the creamy filling:

  • Egg — 1 pc.
  • Cream cheese — 100 g
  • Sugar — 50 g

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf pan with butter. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, egg, brown sugar, butter, sour cream, and vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine the dry ingredients with the pumpkin mixture.
  3. Pour two-thirds of the batter into the pan.
  4. Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and egg for the filling. Spread the mixture over the batter and gently distribute it.
  5. Spread the remaining batter on top.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out almost dry.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing it.
