Sometimes the lid is so tight that it seems impossible to open without male strength. But there are several simple and safe ways to open any jar in literally half a minute.
1. With a Spoon
Pry the edge of the lid with a regular tablespoon, lifting it slightly around the perimeter. When air gets inside, the lid will come off easily.
2. With a Rubber Glove
Put on a glove — it will provide a secure grip. Just twist the lid: the extra friction will help you open even the most stubborn jar.
3. With Hot Water
Submerge the lid in hot water for a couple of minutes — the metal will expand slightly, and the jar will open easily. Just don’t do this right after taking it out of the fridge to avoid breaking the glass.
