Like tiramisu, but healthier: making a protein dessert without sugar

We suggest making a quick and tasty protein dessert inspired by Italian tiramisu. The healthy version turns out to be very successful!

Ingredients for 1 serving

  • 1 tsp instant coffee;

  • 100 ml boiling water;

  • 100 g Greek yogurt;

  • 100 g cottage cheese;

  • 1 banana;

  • 1 tsp honey or a little stevia;

  • ½ tsp cinnamon;

  • 3 rice cakes;

  • ½ tsp cocoa.

Preparation

  1. Pour the instant coffee with 100 ml of boiling water and let it cool.

  2. Prepare the cream. For this, place the yogurt, cottage cheese, half a banana, honey, and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix everything until smooth. It is convenient to mash the lumps of cottage cheese and banana with a fork. It is better not to use a blender, as the cream for the protein dessert may become too runny.

  3. Cut the remaining banana into slices.

  4. Dip the rice cake in the cooled coffee for a few seconds. Shake off the excess and place the cake on a plate.

  5. Spread the cream on the cake and add half of the fruit slices.

  6. Top with the second cake, previously soaked in coffee. Then add a new layer of cream and banana.

  7. Finally, place the third soaked cake on top and spread the cottage cheese mixture over it.

  8. Sprinkle the protein dessert with cocoa — and it’s ready.

Result

The energy value of the resulting protein dessert is 23 g of protein. This is about one-third of the daily norm for women and a quarter for men. Now about the taste. The rice cakes soak up the coffee and become soft, tender layers. The cream and banana filling turns this protein dessert into a real cake. It turns out delicious, moist, and moderately sweet. A great option for when you want to quickly come up with something for tea.
