The key technological principle is the Modular Open Systems Architecture.

Instead of a single universal design, the European manufacturer offers a dual concept — two platforms that complement each other in capabilities.

The first is a traditional helicopter of a classic design, intended for a wide range of tasks: from transport and search-and-rescue operations to troop support.

The second is a high-speed aircraft of a combined design, developing technological solutions from the X³ and Racer demonstrators. This machine is capable of achieving significantly higher cruising speeds while retaining the advantages of vertical takeoff and landing. The developers are focusing on dynamics: rapid acceleration, effective braking, and enhanced maneuverability.

The key technological principle is the Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA), which will allow for the rapid integration of new systems, armaments, and communication tools without extensive redesign of the platform.

Bruno Even, head of the division, noted that the presented solutions serve as a starting point for discussions with military customers and for forming final requirements.

At the same time, the company continues to modernize its existing lineup: the NH90 helicopter is expected to receive Block 1 and Block 2 updates, while the H145M, H160M, and H225M models maintain their positions in the segment of modern military platforms.

The NGRC program is entering a crucial stage. By the end of 2027, participating countries — France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Canada — must determine their preferred concept in order to transition to a full development phase by 2030.
