North of Los Angeles, in California, one of the creators of the popular video game Call of Duty, Vince Zampella, died in a car accident, reported game developer Electronic Arts, writes LETA, citing AP.
He was 55 years old.
According to NBC, on Sunday, a Ferrari driven by Zampella crashed into a concrete barrier while exiting a tunnel. A passenger in the car also died in the accident.
Videos from eyewitnesses have been posted online, showing a red Ferrari engulfed in flames, standing on a mountain road.
The causes of the incident are still being investigated.
Zampella was known as one of the creators of Call of Duty. He founded Respawn Entertainment, which created games such as Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi.
