On Orthodox Christmas, astronomers promise the first mystical event in human history

A unique astronomical event that the inhabitants of Earth will be able to observe in the early days of January 2026 will not repeat until the 23rd century and has never before occurred on Orthodox Christmas. It includes an almost perfect conjunction of the Sun with Venus and Mars. This is a mystical coincidence.

The anticipated event is the first in the history of human civilization that coincides exactly with Orthodox Christmas. This adds a special symbolism to the holiday, which is mathematically proven.

At the beginning of 2026, from January 6 to 9, the sky will delight us with a rare spectacle — the simultaneous conjunction of the two closest planets, Venus and Mars, with the Sun. This astronomical phenomenon, where four celestial bodies, including Earth, align, is extremely rare. The symbolism of the event is heightened by the fact that its culmination will occur on Orthodox Christmas 2026, on the night of January 6 to 7, reports the Telegram channel XRAS.

When the hands of the universal clock mechanism align

Calculations by astronomers show that such a configuration of celestial bodies is extremely rare. This occurs when Venus and Mars, moving in their orbits, are seen from Earth very close to the disk of the Sun — in this case, at a distance of about 1 degree. On January 8, 2026, the angular distance will be less than one degree.

In the last five centuries, such a close simultaneous conjunction of Venus and Mars with the Sun has occurred only three times: in 1669, 1682, and June 1968.

During the current millennium, this phenomenon will be observed only four times: in 2026, 2267, 2324, and 2623. Therefore, the next generations will not have this opportunity until the 23rd century.

Astrophysicists from the solar activity laboratory note another astonishing fact. The probability that such an exact conjunction of planets will coincide with a specific calendar date, such as January 7, is even rarer. Such a conjunction can occur only once every 2000 years. Therefore, the anticipated event is the first in the history of human civilization that exactly coincides with Orthodox Christmas. This adds a special symbolism to the holiday, which is mathematically proven.

At the beginning of December 2025, the planets will begin to visibly approach the Sun: Mars will be on the left, and Venus on the right. By New Year's Eve, the distance will decrease to 2-3 degrees, and on the days of the conjunction — to a minimum.

Astrologically, Venus is responsible for feelings and relationships, while Mars represents concentration of energy, action, and activity. Importantly, the conjunction of the planets will occur in the sign of Capricorn. This means that working during this period is very favorable, literally without fatigue.

Interestingly, in the second half of January, the Sun will form a conjunction with three planets — Venus, Mars, and Mercury — at a distance of less than 4 degrees. The next occurrence of this "triple" event will not be until 2235.
